Our island holidays include visits to Lake Victoria; the largest
fresh water lake in the world, and lake
Bunyonyi one of the deepest lakes in Africa.
Sesse Island is the largest archipelago on Lake Victoria. A visit to this island acts as a compliment
to our tour package in Uganda.
Activities include sun bathing on white sandy beaches, swimming or kayaking in
the fresh water lake, bird watching, sport fishing, nature walks, primate
walks, historical sites and community projects.
Lake Bunyonyi and her islands are undisputedly some of the
most beautiful parts of Uganda.
Located in the hills six kilometers above the town of Kabale,
in the extreme southwest of the country, this picturesque, irregularly shaped
lake shares its shores with Rwanda.
Ngamba Island is 100 acres (approximately 40 hectares) of
rainforest situated 23 Km from Entebbe, near the
equator in Lake Victoria, Uganda. It supports a rich
diversity of natural wildlife (over 120 species of birds, hippos, crocodiles,
(monitor lizards) and is home to orphaned chimpanzees. A visit to Ngamba Island
would take one day but if you wish, you could overnight on the island for chimp
habituation experience.
Our island holidays are placed into some of our safari
itineraries. However, if you are interested in specifically visiting one of the
above islands as a separate package, our itineraries are flexible and we would
be happy to tailor it to suit your needs.
