Rwenzori Mountain is the highest mountain range in Africa and is located on the border of Uganda and the DR Congo. The highest Rwenzori's are permanently snow-capped, and they, along with Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya are the only snow-capped peaks in Africa.

As researchers in gorilla tourism, we are deeply concerned about the survial and sustainability of the gorillas. Thus we have developed partnerships with the local communities, eco-tourism agencies, environmental management institutions, conservation organizations to enable us participate in the protecting the eco-systems that host the Gorillas. We are planning projects that will empower the locals economically hence deter them from encroaching on the Gorilla habitants.
